Organisers of the forthcoming Portsmouth Tech and Cultural Summit have announced an impressive slate of speakers for the event coming up on August 10, 2024 at the Buckland Community Centre in Portsmouth Hampshire, United Kingdom.

Projected to drive meaningful conversations, discussions, and collaborations in technology and cultural endeavours, the event will feature speakers and professionals from African, Asian and British backgrounds from different sectors influenced by technological ideas.

Organised to empower under-represented communities in the professional space in the United Kingdom who are trying to navigate the technological landscape in the United Kingdom, the summit is an initiative of Anuoluwapo Gabriel, founder and CEO of Pavolera Technology Limited, a software development firm based in Portsmouth United Kingdom.

The event also hopes to forge a stronger bond for growth, collaboration and networking among professionals from diverse backgrounds in the United Kingdom.

The summit will be hosted by notable entertainment personalities, Bunkunmi Oluwasina and Woli Arole. A Nigerian actress, producer, screenwriter and singer, she studied Theatre Arts at Obafemi Awolowo University and has been prominent in the Nigerian entertainment scene for over a decade and played the role of Agemo in the recently released Netflix film, Jagun Jagun.

Arole, a prominent comedian, actor and influencer, commands traction on social media years after becoming a finalist at the Spontaneity Contest hosted by Ali Baba in Lagos. He has over 3.4 million followers across social media platforms.

Among those already named as speakers is Harry Salami, a British Nigerian software engineer and tech disruptor who holds a First-Class degree in Computer Science from University of Reading; Egbe Omorodion, who has two decades of experience across the construction, engineering, and infrastructure sectors and Alain Claude, a Solutions Architect and Grant Manager who has developed solutions to help organisations and making an impact through various technological empowerment initiatives in Cameroon.

Also on the list is Blessing Adesiji, a Senior Developer Relations Engineer, UK Global Talent, Prev DevRel AI and content creator in technological solutions, building AI applications and increasing knowledge about the Blockchain and Sadeeq Akintola, an experienced data engineer skilled in databases, ETL, data science and machine learning, software development and documentation, business intelligence, data analytics with a demonstrated history of working in the information technology, consulting, and financial services industry.

Other notable speakers already announced include Toyyib Adewale Adelodun, Bukki Ojiji, Segun Adeyemi, Subomi Adekoya, Alain Claude, Bhavin Shah, Sunny Atuba, Olusola Fakuyi, Godwin Mbah, Rekia Ariyibi, Quddus Ashu, Adeyemi Alowolodu, DJ Xray, Oluwole Fagbohun, Dr Douglas Iyalla Pepple and Emeka Ebeniro.
