Flybird RPAS, the Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) division of Flybird Group, is set to showcase its advanced drone capabilities while unveiling its vision to provide integrated aviation solutions for offshore and onshore energy operations.

This will take place during the upcoming 25th NOG Energy Week Conference and Exhibition, taking place from 5–9 July 2026 at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja. The exhibition marks a key milestone in Flybird Group’s strategic expansion across the aviation and energy sectors.

As the energy industry increasingly adopts unmanned aviation technologies to improve safety, operational efficiency and asset integrity, the system is delivering intelligent aerial solutions for the oil and gas, infrastructure, utilities, mining and maritime sectors.

Visitors to the Flybird RPAS stand will experience drone applications designed to enhance inspections, reduce operational costs, minimise exposure to high-risk environments and provide real-time aerial intelligence for informed decision-making.

The Group will also engage stakeholders on its planned expansion into offshore helicopter services, providing personnel transportation, logistics support, emergency response, aerial surveillance and specialised aviation services for offshore energy operators across West Africa.

This complements the Group’s growing portfolio of aircraft management, business aviation, RPAS operations, MRO and aviation advisory services, reinforcing its position as an integrated aviation partner for the energy sector.

Chanel Scott, Chief Executive Officer, Flybird RPAS, said: “Drone technology has become an operational necessity for organisations seeking safer, smarter and more cost-effective operations. NOG Energy Week provides an excellent platform to showcase our capabilities, build strategic partnerships and demonstrate that indigenous companies can deliver world-class aviation technology solutions that meet international standards.”

Dr. Tracy Wilson, Group Head, Corporate Services, Flybird Group, said: “NOG Energy Week provides a valuable opportunity to strengthen stakeholder relationships, showcase Flybird Group’s expanding portfolio of integrated aviation services and foster partnerships that support the future of Africa’s energy sector. As we continue to grow across aircraft management, RPAS, offshore helicopter services and aviation support, we remain committed to operational excellence, strong corporate governance and delivering long-term value to our clients and partners.”

Captain Ahmed Borodo, Group Managing Director, Flybird Group, said: “Flybird Group is building a fully integrated aviation ecosystem to support the energy value chain. Through aircraft management, business aviation, RPAS, offshore helicopter services, MRO and aviation advisory, we are providing innovative, reliable and safe aviation solutions under one trusted brand. Our participation at NOG Energy Week reflects our commitment to supporting Africa’s energy industry through strategic investment, local capacity development and operational excellence.”

Delegates attending NOG Energy Week are invited to visit the Flybird RPAS stand to explore the company’s capabilities, discuss tailored aviation solutions and discover partnership opportunities across drone operations, offshore helicopter services and integrated aviation support.
