Applications are now open for the GoGettaz Agripreneur Prize Competition 2026, a pan-African initiative supporting young entrepreneurs building businesses across the agrifood value chain.

The competition recognises youth-led agribusiness ventures creating scalable solutions in food production, agritech, logistics, climate resilience, food security, and related sectors across Africa.

The programme offers funding opportunities, mentorship, business exposure, and access to investors and industry leaders through a multi-stage competition culminating at the Africa Food Systems Forum in Kigali, Rwanda.

Benefits of Participation

Cash Prize Opportunities

The competition will award $50,000 each to one male-led and one female-led agribusiness venture. In addition, impact awards totalling of $60,000 will be distributed to startups making notable contributions in areas such as Technology and Innovation, Nutrition and Food Security, Climate Resilience, Job Creation, and Gender Equity.

Mentorship and Business Support

Selected participants gain access to mentorship from agribusiness experts, investors, and development partners across Africa. Founders will also receive strategic business support and pitch preparation sessions.

Global and Continental Exposure

Finalists will pitch their businesses before judges and stakeholders during the Africa Food Systems Forum in Kigali, Rwanda, giving startups visibility among investors, policymakers, and ecosystem leaders.

Access to Industry Networks

Participants will connect with agrifood stakeholders, development organisations, investors, and fellow entrepreneurs across the continent through the competition process and forum activities.

Open to Multiple Agrifood Sectors

The competition welcomes ventures operating in areas including farming, agro-processing, logistics, digital agriculture, renewable energy for agriculture, waste recycling, packaging, food retail, and agritech solutions.
