Applications are now open for the Savant Build Programme 2026, an accelerator designed for African founders developing deep-tech and hardware-enabled solutions.

The programme supports startups working on technologies that address climate and green economy challenges, while helping founders strengthen their business models, prepare for investment, and accelerate commercial growth.

The three-month programme combines venture-building support, technical and commercial expertise, mentorship, and investor readiness training. Selected startups will also gain access to strategic networks that can help them scale across African and global markets.

Benefits of Participation

  • Grant Funding Opportunities: Top-performing startups may qualify for grant funding of up to €80,000 (approximately R1.6 million) upon successful completion of the programme.
  • Investor Readiness Support: Participants receive guidance on fundraising, financial modelling, investor engagement, cap table management, and pitch development.
  • Mentorship and Expert Guidance: Founders will work with experienced mentors, technical advisors, and industry experts.
  • Access to Investor and Industry Networks: The programme connects startups with investors, strategic partners, and business leaders across the deep-tech and hardware ecosystem, creating opportunities for partnerships and growth.
  • Workshops and Masterclasses: Participants will take part in in-person workshops in Cape Town alongside virtual masterclasses covering venture building, go-to-market strategy, fundraising, product development, and business growth.
  • Continued Post-Programme Support: Selected startups can receive up to one year of post-programme advisory support to help them achieve key business milestones after completing the accelerator.

How to Apply 

Applications for the Savant Build Programme 2026 close on Monday, June 15, 2026. The accelerator is scheduled to begin in August 2026 and will run for three months.

Founders building deep-tech and hardware-driven solutions for climate and green economy challenges are encouraged to apply before the deadline and take advantage of the programme’s funding opportunities, mentorship, and investor access.
