Top education technology platform in the MENA region, Emonovo (previously MARJ3), has secured an unspecified bridge round from strategic angel investors in the US, Europe, and MENA, as well as a follow-up investment from Flat6Labs.
Emonovo deploys data and technology to connect young people in the MENA region to majors universities around the world.
The contributing angel investors have outstanding histories in the EdTech, FinTech, HR, and investment industries and have accumulated extensive work experience at major corporations like META, Klarna, and Alan as well as renowned VC and Private Funds.

This investment aims to strengthen the new business model and fuel the platform’s growth in university recruitment and student enrollment.
Additionally, it will be utilized to modernize the platform’s technology, which will improve data management and matching.
As a supporter of technology and social impact, angel investor Rama A. Chakaki remarked, “I’m thrilled to invest in Emonovo, the future of higher education in the region.
The three co-founders made the decision to completely support students from beginning to end of their educational journey.
They switched from the realm of scholarships to that of university and student matching.
Marj3 changed its name to Emonovo in March 2022 after making some internal and external changes as well as new branding.

Abdo Samy, Sami Al-Ahmad, and Ahmed Elgebaly created Marj3 in July 2016 with the intention of providing Arab youth with access to international educational possibilities.
The platform received its inaugural pre-Seed funding from Flat6Labs’ FAC Egypt Fund less than a year after its creation.
It also received funding from a US-based investment firm called Expert Dojo in 2020, and as a result, it was able to establish connections with more than 300 colleges all around the world.
The business changed its emphasis earlier this year from linking applicants with universities to matching students with scholarships.
With the current round, Emonovo will be able to partner with more universities and expand its student recruitment efforts. The platform’s technology will also be improved, allowing for better data management and matching.
