West Africa’s most exciting challenge, the WA-TTS Transport-Tech Pitch Competition, is now open to innovative, tech startups across West Africa.

Whether your startup is at the idea stage or early stage, as long as your solutions can advance the growth of transport technology throughout the West African region, you may apply for the WA-TTS Transport-Tech Pitch Competition.

If selected, your startup will have a chance to connect and compete in front of a live audience, a panel of expert judges, industry experts, high-profile investors in international media at WA-TTS on 29th September 2021.

Benefits

Finalists of the WA-TTS Transport-Tech Pitch Competition will receive

  • $5,000 in funding;
  • International and local visibility;
  • Opportunity to network with top investors, influencers and corporates along the way.
What to expect

Startups from two categories (Idea stage) and (Early-stage/1-3yrs) will be selected as finalists and invited to pitch on stage, exhibiting innovations in transport technology from the West African region at the summit.

Selected startups will pitch their company before an audience of 2000+ attendees plus a panel of leading industry experts.

Startups will each get 3 minutes to complete a slide-free pitch, followed by 3 minutes of Q&A from the judges. Winners will be announced shortly after the pitch competition.

Eligibility

The WA-TTS Transport-Tech Pitch Competition aims to showcase the brightest and best that West Africa has to offer. Your business must meet a few simple criteria though, including:

Idea stage startups
  • Your primary business operations must focus on tech solutions for transportation.
  • At least 1 member of the team will be a registered delegate at the event
  • Able to demonstrate market Need for your product or service
  • You must be a resident from an eligible country (16 west African countries)
Early-stage startups
  • Your primary business operations must focus on tech solutions for transportation.
  • A minimum of 2 members of the team will be registered delegates at the event
  • Already have a Minimum Viable Product
  • Able to demonstrate market traction
  • The company must be incorporated/registered
  • Have no known intellectual property conflicts
  • You must be a resident from an eligible country (16 west African countries)
