The crypto gaming sector is on the steady rise. A turnover of $300 million has been produced by the sector, statistics show.

Developers today are outdoing themselves in coming up with useful invention and what started out as a widely shared enthusiasm is turning out to be a macro investment opportunity.

Several crypto trading projects, in terms of their offering, have stood out in 2021. The following hold the top spots in the sector;

Axie Infinity

The Vietnam Sky Mavis studio production is a blockchain based video game that runs on the Ethereum network and uses NFT technology.

Adopting a play-to-earn model, Axie Infinity uses two cryptocurrencies, Axie Infinity Shards (AIS) and Smooth Love Portion (SLP).

Significant feature of the game are Axie (scary creatures that hunt for treasure) and Axie Land (virtual land)

MetaWars

MetaWars is a sci-fi game that takes players on an adventure in space. It is an RPG with major futuristic twists.

With three main features, Exploration, Fleet Formation and combat bit, this game lets you monetize your winnings using the P2E model.

Players can go on several missions, collect NFT auctions, discover and revolutionise galaxies together and also earn WARS token.

Sandbox

Sandbox facilitates owning, building and monetizing of your gaming experience. It is a product of Pixowl Inc running on the Ethereum BC.

Offering three products, VodEx, Marketplace and Game maker, Sandbox allows you NFTs using its token, SAND. It also has a digital real estate (LAND) that lets you build assets and games.

Iluvium

ETH-based RPG game, Illuvium takes you on a journey of hunting down Illuvials through an extensive landscape.

These Illuvials come in different forms and they can be captured for PVP battles and ILV tokens (utility and revenue disbursal token).

A significant feature of the game is the immutable X that helps take out gas fees from trades.

Gods Unchained

Leading free-to-play crypto gaming platform, Gods Unchain, infuses NFT with traditional trading card trading.

The cards can be gotten by either winning a PVP contest or by purchasing them from other platforms.

The game pars you up against players of equal ability and you earn experience points every time you win. It has a token, GOD which can be used on the platform’s marketplace or on the open market.
