Last week, we read reports that some celebrities had their accounts hacked and private pictures exposed. The fact is that this is only a tip of the iceberg of the dangers ahead which is why many Nations have taken the issue of cyber security more seriously by having a special unit for it plus raising their own private cyber armies in case of a cyber attack.

The ICT Radio Show comes up every Tuesday by 1.30pm on 99.3 Nigeria Info FM. Click here to listen to past episodes of all past episodes of the show.

The Internet project has been largely successful because of its inherent free nature, no single entity can claim complete control of the Internet not even the United States NSA or the giant tech companies. It is nearly impossible to manage what goes on in the cyber-space which of course presents us with a unique kind of challenge more popular called cyber security.

This week the ICT Radio Show on 99.3 Nigeria Info, will take a deeper look at “Cyber Security and Hacking” and the guests are exceptional experts who have many years of experience dealing with diverse security matters.

Meet the Guests

Chris Uwaje on Cyber Security Mr. Chris Uwaje is the Chairman of Mobile Software Nigeria Limited but more popularly called the Oracle of the Nigerian IT Industry. He pioneered the conceptualization Framework and content drafting strategy for the establishment of the National Information Technology Development Policy for Nigeria. President Cyber security NGO Global Network for Cybersolution, Past President of Information Technology Association of Nigeria (ITAN) and Institute of Software Practitioners of Nigeria (ISPON).

He is a distinguished Fellow of Nigeria Computer Society (NCS), Fellow: Institute of Analysts and Programmers. U.K. Fellow: Institute of Certified Professional of UK; Former Council Member: Nigeria Computer Society (NCS). Pioneer Past President Global Network for Cyber Solution (NGO on Cybersecurity and Cybercrime Chris Uwaje is reputed for his many articles on national and International issues on ICT.

Oluseyi Akindeinde is the Chief Technical Officer of Digital Encode Limited with over 13 years experience working in the IT and informationSeyi Akindeinde on Cyber Security security arena, but has spent the better part of the last few years exploring the security issues faced by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) and Financial Transaction Systems (FTS). He has mostly presented the outcome of his research works at several conferences; including the Information Security Society of Africa Nigeria (ISSAN), the E-Payment Forum, the Electronic Payment Providers Association, the forum of the Committee of Chief Inspectors of Banks in Nigeria CCIBN, Chartered Institute of Bankers Nigeria CIBN, the apex bank – Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), as well as the senior management of 17 top financial institutions in Nigeria.

Finally, he holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Lagos. He is also a pilot in training and on the way to obtaining a private pilot license.
