Afrilabs recently announced the fifth edition of its Annual Gathering to take place in Marrakesh and Ben Guerir, Morocco.
Comprising 174 technology and innovation hubs across 45 African countries, the Afrilabs Annual Gathering would hold from 12 to 14 October.
Douar Tech Morocco, a member of Afrilabs is hosting the event themed “Building a Sustainable and Innovative Africa”
According to Afrilabs, the annual gathering would feature major stakeholders in the African tech innovation ecosystem.
This will provide an opportunity for assessing the wider scope of scaling to make an impact through the AfriLabs network.
Afrilabs has reiterated that by expanding Innovation and Technology centres in Africa, the continent has a very big chance to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) come 2030.
The thematic sessions from the event include;
- Advancing partnership between hubs, the private sector and the academia
- The role of technology hubs plays in executing the SDGs
- Africa’s role in advancing green and smart cities
- Innovation, the distinctive plan to Africa’s socio-economic development and sustainability
The dialogue around each session would centre on advancing a consolidated partnership within the innovative ecosystem to attain a sustainable Africa.
