CleanMob, a French-Moroccan startup specializing in software-based fleet management, has raised USD 1.3 million in a seed funding round.
The round was led by BPI France, 212Founders by CDG Invest, MNF Ventures, Tremplin Capital, and four individual business angels.
Founded in 2021 by Moroccan brothers Salah and Khalil Hajji, CleanMob develops smart fleet management solutions powered by virtual sensor technology.
Their system combines signal processing, predictive AI, and physical law modeling to track and optimize vehicle performance, without relying on traditional telematics hardware.
The funding will support CleanMob’s plans to scale its technical and commercial activities in France. A key focus will be expanding their connected vehicle base to 50,000 units while continuing research and development.
The startup is targeting mid-sized and large enterprises, aiming to position itself as a leading solution for modern automotive telematics.
What sets CleanMob apart is its no-hardware, software-only model. Unlike conventional fleet management solutions that require physical installation of telematics boxes, often costly and prone to reliability issues.
CleanMob runs through sensors on drivers’ smartphones. This allows for fast deployment across mixed fleets, including thermal, hybrid, and electric vehicles.
Their system tracks energy consumption, performs preventive maintenance checks, calculates CO2 emissions, and supports companies planning the shift to lower-emission transport. Current clients include Engie Home Services and Asten Santé.
CleanMob is building a fleet solution that addresses common pain points in traditional telematics—complex logistics, hardware dependencies, and lengthy rollouts.
By removing those barriers, it offers companies a more practical route to digitize fleet operations. The demand for leaner, more adaptive software in transportation is growing, and CleanMob’s approach may find strong footing with enterprise clients looking for efficiency without the overhead.
