Last week, I affirmed that I am going to share my observations and insightful experiences about the Infinix Note 4 Android smartphone.
What I did was the unboxing, showing you stunning photos that complement the latest Android smartphone from Infinix Mobility.
Infinix Mobility launched the Infinix Note 4 Android smartphone into the Nigerian market, barely one year after its predecessor; Infinix Note 3 Android smartphone was launched.
Apparently, the Nigerian market is becoming saturated with different brands of Android smartphones and Infinix as part of its effort to be the future has continued to roll out affordable devices for Nigerian consumers, who are bent on spending less, while getting the best.
The 5.7-inch Infinix Note 4 is an upgrade of the Note 3 device, in particular on the processor, performance, and design.
However, the Note 3 which one of my best three Android smartphones beat the Note 4 in screen size and battery life.

Display and Design
For me, the design and the display of the Note 4 device are features that make it outstanding, resembling the Samsung S7.
The device which has about 1080×1920 pixels in resolution makes the display of the smartphone so sharp and stunning.
Further, the Note 4 Android smartphone has a curvy edge at the four ends, with a home button which brings out the beauty at the same time appealing to the eyes.
The home button which is placed slightly at the beneath-centre of the smartphone is one of a kind.
Infinix has never had a home button since the smartphone maker has been rolling out Android smartphones.
This is one of the biggest changes for Infinix and trust me; it brings out the design of the Infinix Note 4 Android smartphone, making it a compelling selling point.
Interestingly, am pleased with the design of the SIM slot.
Unlike the Note 3 where you would need to look for a high and big pin or needle to remove the SIM card.
The SIM slot is carefully placed at the back of the Infinix Note 4 Android smartphone.
Just remove the back cover of the phone and slot in your SIM card.
Placing the SIM card at the side of a smartphone doesn’t resonate with me; it’s not a better option at all.
Camera
The camera over the years has evolved becoming a factor to consider before getting a new Android smartphone.
The Infinix Note 4 has 8-megapixel front camera and 13-megapixel rear camera which gives it a significant boost above some Android smartphones.
The camera of the device is not bad at all, but I didn’t notice a significant difference between the Infinix Note 4 Android smartphone and Note 3 regarding image quality.
I have seen in some cases; picture quality is not dependent on the number of pixels.
The image quality of Note 4 is slightly above that of its predecessor but not significant, at all.
Video call is interesting considering the camera specifications, spiced up by the resolution of the Note 4 device.
Sadly, the clarity of the video call is not there due to constraints emanating from service quality.
Battery
The battery capacity is not bad at all. A full charge could last up to 36 hours depending on your usage.
The battery is not detachable just like the Note 3, but you can open the back cover of the Android smartphone and view the battery.
The advantage of having a non-detachable battery is to eliminate the proliferation and cloning of batteries which was a major issue a few years ago.
Besides, the 5 minutes charge which lasts about 250 minutes (talk time) which is a very innovative.
I got astonished that the battery capacity of the Note 4 is 4,300 mAh, which is less than the Note 3 Android smartphone with highest battery capacity, 4,500 mAh.
The 18W fast charging technology allows you to charge 45% in just 30 minutes.
Also, NOTE4 gives you a two-hour phone call or six-hour offline music listening with just 5-minute charge
Performance
The performance of a smartphone is a factor to consider before purchasing any smartphone. How fast does the smartphone respond?
The Infinix Note 4 device has 3 Gig RAM built on 1.3 GHz Octa Core processor, which positions it to respond faster than the Note 3 device.
I noticed a remarkable difference when surfing the internet using the Note 4; it is faster than Note 4 regarding the response.
MediaTek MT6753 is one of the best processors any smartphone could have, and that is what the Infinix Note 4 is built on.
Meanwhile, the 3 Gig RAM results into better multitasking and frequently used apps and app data are stored into RAM.
Fingerprint
Fingerprint technology has been a major innovation for Infinix Mobility. With Note 4 device, you can enjoy the scan your fingerprint to experience the convenience of secure ID access.
The fingerprint of the Infinix Note 4 tries to resolve or provide alternatives to complex passwords by providing safe unlocking.
It enables privacy control in various other applications and wakes inactive apps.
Major Selling Points
Price
Personally, I think when you think of the recessive Nigerian economy, any smartphone that is coming into the Nigerian market should be expensive.
Even if it’s not expensive, at least should be costly than its predecessor. Instead, I have seen something different following the launch of the device
The Infinix Note 4 ranges between N60,000 and N65, 000 which is cheaper than Infinix Note 3, what a selling point!
Design
The design of the smart device is a selling point for Infinix Mobility. The glass of the screen which looks curvy resembling the Samsung S brings out the beauty of the smartphone.
Speed
The speed of the device is impressive, the RAM and the Mediatek chipset make that possible and it’s a selling point.
Areas of that ought to have Improved
Camera
Although the rear camera is 13 megapixels, while the front camera is 8 megapixels, which is an upgrade to the Note 3, there isn’t any significant difference in on the image quality.
Conclusion
Infinix Note 4 worth the money in many ramifications. You can get yours at any of the online market places or shops.
