Entrepreneurship is believed to be one of the ways to get the African continent on the fast lane of development.

This is coupled with the fact that the continent has a large population of young people.

The Founder Institute is positioned to help convert these young minds to hard-core entrepreneurs.

The Lagos chapter recently graduated 23 founders from Cohort II and will be celebrating them tomorrow, in an event tagged Velocity_Mini.

Velocity_Mini is designed to celebrate Founder Institute Lagos grads who have been through FI’s Hard Core, Navy-Seal Curriculum, and have survived.

Put simply, a start-up that survives the 14-Week program will be ‘velocified’ and ready to take on the world. Register here to attend.

According to the Lead Director, Founder Institute Lagos, Wande Adalemo, ‘Founder Institute is for me the MBA for startups.

It is brutally honest and encourages critical thinking. Then you have scores of mentors willing to help.

The program is tough but does good. I am proud to be part of it’.

The Lagos Cohort II program kicked off with 46 founders and has now graduated 23 portfolio companies, who have gone through the rigorous 14-week program and will now be launching new technology-based companies.

Regional Director, Founder Institute, Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata Jnr., stated, ‘entrepreneurs can bring about a new Africa and FI is delighted to be playing a critical role in achieving this’.

Founder Institute Lagos led by Wande Adalemo, Ifedy Eze, Rotimi Fasuyi, Omobola Omofaiye, and Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata Jnr. “CFA” is dedicated to helping launch new companies that will further add not just to the Nigerian economy but to Africa at large.
