Paymee, a  Tunisian fintech firm that provides an online payment gateway, has completed a six-figure fundraising round with P1 Ventures as the lead investor.

The start-up specializes in digitizing payment processes and providing card-based online payment reception solutions.

Any website and mobile application can incorporate its solution. Without a website, businesses and SMBs can still offer their customers’ payment links.

Paymee specializes in providing cutting-edge payment systems that enable businesses to accept digital payments and boost sales.

A QR Code that substitutes POS terminals was just released by Paymee. It is a QR Code with a fixed image and a variable amount.

The founder of Paymee, Marwen Amamou, expressed his opinion that this fundraising will support Paymee’s goal of expanding the product and luring fresh talent.

The firm is already well-known for the effectiveness and convenience of its payment solutions, and it now wants to dominate the Tunisian market.

At the heart of Paymee’s research and development efforts in addressing customer needs and streamlining client operations.

The business will use the money to expand its enterprise offering and quicken the pace of product development. A venture capital firm with a focus on early-stage African FinTech is P1 Ventures.

“We’ve been pleased by the product quality that allowed Paymee to become a partner of reference for worldwide brands like Shopify to enable Tunisian retailers to take payments online,” commented Mikael Hajjar, General Partner at P1 Ventures.

Marwen is also a very determined and ambitious businesswoman who keeps coming up with innovative features like QR Codes, which are a wonderful substitute for cash on delivery for logistical clients like Aramex.

Techbuild’s Take

The recent increase in online transactions is evidence of how important payment gateways are to organizations.

Payment gateways are programs that handle credit card transactions for your company. They are a benefit to all firms because they make sure that transactions go smoothly and safely, and they lessen losses caused by late payments.

If you interface with a payment processor like Paymee, your consumers can make payments whenever they want, irrespective of who is managing the store.

Giving your customers the freedom to shop whenever they want will make both you and them more convenient.

In general, payment gateways streamline the online payment procedure for your company and assist you in receiving payments more quickly, easily, and securely.

Paymee is a payment gateway, which is what you need if you have the thoughts of accepting payments online or want to improve the system you already have in place. The platform also includes other tools, like the QR Code, to improve the user experience.
