Egyptian supply chain technology startup Qara has secured $2.6 million in funding to fuel its expansion into Saudi Arabia, signaling its growing influence in the regional tech ecosystem.
Qara provides producers with a comprehensive digital platform to ensure product authentication and traceability throughout the supply chain.
The platform enables businesses to connect with their markets more effectively and gain valuable insights for data-driven decision-making.
Since its inception, Qara has partnered with over 35 manufacturers and product suppliers, authenticating more than 28 million product units.
The platform has also connected these partners with over 50,000 business users across Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Kenya, demonstrating its effectiveness and value.
With its new funding, Qara is set to deepen its footprint in Saudi Arabia. This expansion will benefit from the National Technology Development Programme’s (NTDP) Relocate Initiative, which provides key incentives and support to companies entering the Saudi tech ecosystem.
According to Qara’s co-founder and CEO Hassan Abouzeed, the company is addressing critical challenges faced by manufacturers worldwide.
Following three years of successful operations in Egypt, the business is ready to scale internationally. He highlighted that the move to Saudi Arabia aligns with Vision 2030, emphasizing innovation and technology-driven value creation.
The supply chain startup aims to enhance manufacturers’ B2B2C marketing and distribution capabilities through its digital platform.
By ensuring product authenticity, increasing supply chain visibility, and minimizing inefficiencies, the company aims to deliver better outcomes for all stakeholders involved.
This latest funding round underscores Qara’s position as a key player in the supply chain technology sector and sets the stage for its continued growth and regional impact.
