Ernst & Young (EY), in collaboration with Bright Tide and supported by Microsoft and Women’s World Banking, has launched the 2025 edition of the EY SDG Accelerator for Women Entrepreneurs.
This six-month program is designed to support women-led ventures leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to address pressing global challenges in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Program Overview
The EY SDG Accelerator aims to identify and support five women-led enterprises operating in Africa, Latin America, South Asia, or Southeast Asia.
These ventures should utilize AI responsibly to tackle issues such as climate change, food insecurity, and social and economic inequities.([opportunitiesforyouth.org][3], [bright-tide.co.uk][4])
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Leadership: The applicant must be a female founder, co-founder, or owner, serving as the CEO or Managing Director with a significant ownership stake.
- Business Model: The enterprise can be a for-profit, nonprofit, hybrid, or cooperative social enterprise.
- Operational Status: The business must be legally incorporated and have been in operation for at least one year.
- Geographic Focus: Operations should be based in Africa, Latin America, South Asia, or Southeast Asia.
- Language: Proficiency in English is required, as the program will be conducted in English.
