Apple has launched the latest version of its desktop operating system – macOS Big Sur
Big Sur, according to Apple comes with a redesign, packed configured with new features for key apps including Messages, Maps, Safari, and a new privacy policy feature.
Here are some of the new features on the macOS Big Sur:
Messaging
The giant tech company has revealed that messages on macOS Big Sur offer users new tools to support them in managing some of their most preferred group conversations and also provides them with more engaging ways for expression.
Users can now pin their conversations on top their Message list for easy access.
The search has also been redesigned to support users to easily find photos and links, also conversations can now stay in sync as macOS Big Sur works seamlessly with Apple Watch, iPad, and iPhone.
Maps
This has been wholly designed, bringing in new features to explore the world on the new macOS Big Sur.
The Map allows users to discover locations to explore, offering them guides from trusted brands.
It allows the creation of custom guides to share most preferred parks, restaurants and tourists site with families and friends.
Safari
This feature marks the tech giant’s biggest Safari update since its 2003 launch. It now comes with an augmented privacy feature, upgraded efficiency, and performance as well as better customization options.
Safari provides a more personalized experience while engaging in web browsing, with a start page customised for users to add a background image, iCloud Tabs, and many more.
Refreshed Design
Apple also redesigned the Control Center which will make navigation easy for users.
Users have quick access to the Control Center, getting to quickly use buttons like displays, keyboard brightness, plus many more all from the menu bar.
At a quick glance, users can view more useful information in the upgraded Notification Center (redesigned widgets and interactive notifications).
With its new inbuilt translation, Safari can translate web pages from up to seven languages.
The latest Safari extension comes with new categories such as top charts and editorial spotlights.
