Technology, obviously has revolutionized the way most of the ecosystem is run. It is no new thing that technology has tremendously changed how we do business. From having a physical store to having a virtual online store.

The good thing about it is that consumers are frequently changing and adapting to a new method of shopping. But to advertisers, this is a problem. It is important to start keeping with the pace at which technology is constantly evolving. So as to better live the experience our customers get while they patronize.

Virtual Reality has been a big bet for companies like Google, Microsoft, and Amazon. And these are the firms that have generated a percentage of revenue from their advertising channel. And this can just be translated that virtual reality has come to stay.

Just with a simple Google Cardboard or Oculus Headset, a customer can better experience a physical store and products virtually.

How can e-commerce can benefit?

1. 360 view of products: This just means that e-commerce store will be able to create a 360-degree view of their products, so customers on the go, will have a better glance of other similar products. Customers will now be relieved of the pain of clicking and waiting for webpages to load.

2.Faster Experience: Buyers are always in haste when they are in need, and these moments are termed as micro-moments, with VR incorporated in e-commerce, customers can quickly view a 360-degree image/video of your products catalogs without needing to surf all your website. With this quicker decision can be made and buyers might decide to continue shopping or quit.

3.Better Conversion: This is more applicable if you delight customers with your VR immersion. Think of it like this, a customer after viewing the VR catalog of your products then, get to see similar products quite fascinating than the products he’s in long for.

Such customer will most likely not have any reservation than to proceed to check out of the product. And this means you’ve earned a loyal customer.

So, as a business owner is a right time we sit down and pinpoint those processes on our online store that has been so daunting for our customers, by doing this we will be able to mimic such process via a VR, as to better improve customers experience. And this is a win-win for the business and the customer.
