It’s still day one for us and we go back to the drawing board daily to figure out how we do this incredible work of making transportation better for Africans one country at a time.”
Recounting how the shared-mobility company was founded, Johnny Enagwolor, MD and Co-Founder, Co-founder of Treepz, said, “We wanted to build the largest shared mobility platform that will allow technology to make transportation, predictable, structured, and accessible. Predictable because commuters from the comfort of their homes could check available buses on their routes as well as unoccupied seats”
Johnny further revealed that until the founding of Treepz, there was no government policy for bus hailing in Nigeria. However, according to the MD, the management team drove a conversation with the government that saw Treepz become the first bus-hailing company to obtain a license for operation.
Going forward, Treepz will be focused on expanding its services in the three core markets while seeking partners in new African countries, especially in Southern and Northern Africa,
The company continues to ensure it’s at the forefront of sustainable transportation solutions powered by electric and gas vehicles to save CO2 emissions and there will be more around this in the coming years.
