  • Innovation and uniqueness:
  • Technical feasibility
  • Regulatory compliance
  • Awareness of relevant healthcare regulations, strategy for obtaining necessary approvals

Startups focused on these thematic areas are encouraged to apply:

  • Disease Prevention
  • Clinical Preventive Frameworks and Community Advocacy
  • Community health worker support systems
  • Vaccine and Medicine Production
  • Medical Robotics and Automation (MRA)
  • Genomics
  • Biomedical Systems
  • Patient Care Journey
  • Pandemic/health emergencies management
  • Malnutrition and stuntin
  • Monetisation Strategies

Your startup should have clear and sustainable monetisation strategies, showcasing a path to profitability and long-term financial viability.

Eligibility for Participation

Groundbreaking founders and innovators across Africa who are already building startups that meet the following criteria:

  • Have founders who are nationals of an African Country
  • Registered and operating within Africa
  • Operating for a minimum of one year
  • Addressing development challenges
  • Must be a technology-based solution
  • Have a Minimum Viable Solution (MVS) (regulated and licenced if necessary)
  • Possess existing corporate governance systems and accountability.
  • This application is limited to citizens of the African Union member states.
