Broadband is an important driver of business for any country.  This week’s Tech Trends show was aimed at determining the exact role of broadband in business development in a country. The guest was Mr. Wande Adalemo, the Co-founder and CEO of Oxygen Broadband Network Limited and 2014’s tech wizkid of the year, awarded by the Nigerian Telecom Awards. He gave firsthand insight on how broadband works as well as its significance for any country.

Mr. Wande painted a clear picture of the precise broadband situation in the country as well as in other countries in Africa. He explained how effective broadband infrastructure can transform essential services in the country. He also highlighted internet usage in Nigeria, its affordability, quality, usability and profitability.

The  next show airs on Monday at 4:30pm on Channels TV (DSTV) with repeats on:

  • Tuesdays: 7:30pm Channels TV (Benin)
  • Thursdays: 3.30pm Channels TV (Terrestrial)
  • Saturdays: 3.30pm Channels TV (DSTV)
