The impact technology has had on businesses cannot be overemphasized. What’s more, the pandemic saw many businesses make a major shift from the traditional way of doing business to online-based markets.
Many businesses were forced to improvise their methods and adapt to the “new normal”.
Is this a good thing? Are businesses making it or are they at a loss? How are businesses changing the narrative and ensuring that for them, there’s a silver lining post-COVID-19?
In this week’s Tech Trends episode, we had a chat with Akua Nyame-Mensah (ANM & Company), who took us through

Akua: Really excited to be here, CFA. Thank you so much for inviting me.
CFA: Awesome. Let’s start by getting your view on how you think COVID-19 has changed technology and startups in Africa.
Akua: Really great sort of question. From my perspective, I think that Covid has had a really interesting impact in that it showed us what has worked and what isn’t maybe working as well.
I had the privilege of actually working on a consulting project where we were focused on looking at tech-enabled businesses and maybe delivery-based businesses to really see the impact that Covid had and so when you’re looking at some of the e-commerce sites and some of the sites that are a little bit more focused on delivering goods and providing goods in that way, I think that actually was quite a positive, I guess you can say a bit of a pro for those types of businesses…Watch the full episode here.
