I have compiled series of tricks and tech tips that would smooth your journey when travelling.

Sometimes, there are usually unforeseen issues that could erupt when travelling. It is normal for the unexpected to happen. But, this would be detrimental if you get hit without envisaging such things.

First things first, you have to understand from the beginning that there are essential things that needs to be done when travelling. Even if the unexpected happens, you are still good to go.

Charge your Devices

The worst thing that could ever happen is travelling without your phone not been fully charged. This does not urgur well at all. You could imagine what happens if your phone battery is dead.

Apart from your phone, if you’re having your laptop, it’s also essential that charged properly before setting out.

Don’t forget your USB cords, chargers or even power banks. I recommend getting a power bank when travelling a long distance.

Are you Traveling? Tech Tips you Need

Protect all your Devices

If you will be participating in outdoor activities, then getting protective gear for your devices is important. Some cameras, tablets and phones come with soft-leather packaging but if they don’t, then buy one which is water and tamper-proof. Also remember to take out a warranty in case the screen goes bad or a heavy damage occurs.

Get Direct Access to TV shows

Many hotels offer cable facilities but only a few give you the luxury of choosing from an entire bouquet of channels without restrictions.

To keep this from happening to you, subscribe for services like Netflix and other internet-enabled movie services to stay entertained. As long as the hotel offers WiFi service, you should be just fine.

Track your Flight

There are usually delay sometimes, you have to prepare ahead of time and make sure your flight if been tracked if you are travelling on air.

Install a flight tracking app on your phone to help you figure out where the plane is and how long the delay will be. This actually depends on the travel agency.

Meanwhile, you have to be early enough at the airport, so you don’t miss out of anything. Use the app if necessary.

Scan all Travel Documents

Scanning all relevant documents associated with your travelling should be scannedand accessible on your phone. Misplacing vital travel documents can be devastating so backing them up, is a really good move.

It’s just normal for all papers to be scanned even if you’re not traveling. There are different cloud services that could be used to save all these files.

Protect your Identity

It’s very risky exposing confidential files, always stay smart and keep all essential documents, especially if they are soft copies of any document on a device.

You download a file protection app to secure them. But for me, I use Lastpass, if password at involved.

“Another way to protect yourself is to use LockBox for secure file sharing. If you need to send files for business or simply want privacy in your sharing, LockBox will encrypt your files and keep them secure”, says Christine Henderson, Senior Tech Analyst at QDT.

Let me know your thoughts about these travel tech tips.
