The idea behind this step by step guide is to make it super easy for you to enter for the giveaway and possibly win. What you will find below is a step by step guide of how to interact with the rafflecopter widget on Facebook or on this blog.

Before I proceed, let me state that the Rafflecopter team put together some fantastic information here, which will help you easily understand how the entire process works.

Let’s Get Started

Step 1: Visit the Tech Trends Facebook page and click on the Giveaway tab:

Step 1

Step 2: You will be required to login either using Facebook or your email – this is to reduce issues of duplicate entries and other tricks aimed at gaming the process:

Step 1.5

Step 3. After you login, below is an example of what rafflecopter.com will show you. It is simply a list of tasks that you are expected to perform, usually one or two are compulsory while the rest of them are completely optional

Step 2

Step 4: The question of the week is usually compulsory (earns you 1 point). Simply answer it in the box alongside the hashtag for the week.

Step 3

Step 5: This is an example of an optional task (earns you 1 point), all you have to do is enter your twitter username and click I Follow!

Step 5

Step 6: This is also an optional task (earns you one point) that requires you to visit the Tech Trends facebook page and click I Visited!

Step 6

Step 7: Rafflecopter would not swarm you with tasks, so it will hide some tasks until you complete the ones you see before it will show you some more optional tasks

Step 7

Step 8: In this example, as soon as the 4 tasks shown above were completed, RC showed the remaining 3 optional tasks as can be seen below

Step 8

Step 9: Clicking on “Tweet about the giveaway” will reveal the image below and all you need to do is Click on the “Tweet” button – this attracts 2 points & can be done daily all through the giveaway period:

Step 9

Step 10: After clicking on the Tweet button, you would see a pop-up like the image below. Simply enter your Twitter username and password, then click on “Log in and Tweet”

Step 10

Step 11: Click on “View it on Twitter” to reveal the actual post you just shared on Twitter because you need to copy the url.

Step 11

Step 12: Copy the url on the top of the next page as shown below and paste into the RC widget column

Step 12

Step 13: Copy the url as shown above and paste, then click I Tweeted!” – again, this is to ensure that people actually perform the tasks expected of them.

Step 14.

Note: The compulsory task actually has one point while most optional tasks such as tweeting about the giveaway attracts 2 points. Also, some tasks, such as tweeting about the giveaway can be done daily all through the giveaway period and each day earns you points.
