The ICT Radio show on Nigeria Info 99.3 FM is committed to helping Nigerians benefit maximally from technology.

On ICT Radio Show on Nigeria Info 99.3 FM, the program will be a call-in program to answer questions on Email Accounts, Social Media accounts, and the internet, phones, strategy for your business. This is because the invited guest got stuck in traffic and could not make it to the studio. This now prompts the need to call on App developers to look into the possibility of developing Apps that will assist the populace to manage their time and activities better as we need solutions.

Some of the Apps these developers needed to work on include a Life Traffic App that offers real-time traffic updates. If there was a traffic App available, for instance, the guest on today’s show would have checked out the App and sought an alternative route to get to this studio.

The use of mobile phones, which is more or less a mobile office, enables the use of Moblie Apps on them a lot and this saves a lot of time. As such, there are some beneficial Apps are already available for their use, free of charge. These include:

  • CamCard App, which allows you to save business cards into your contacts by taking snaps of the card and converting it into contact details instantly on your mobile device.
  • Skitch is also an interesting one, created by Evernote. Skitch allows you to take snapshots online, edit as you wish.

Responding to a callers question requesting to know what to do as he could no longer recover his yahoo email and could not remember the answer to his security question, CFA, made it clear that recovery of such emails might be difficult and people should always remember their security questions. It is a safety guard to keep hackers away from hacking into your email.

CFA also advised that care should be taken in opening emails. Change your security questions and passwords as often as possible.

On a callers question on converting Word to PDF on Blackberry phone, send a mail [email protected] for a good PDF that can work on blackberry.

Care should be taken in opening emails. Security question, have a backup verified to keep hackers out of your email. As Nigeria is going deeper into ICT, there is the need to be more security conscious. Change your security questions and passwords as often as possible.

CFA will be having a Digital Marketing Culture Training on October 4, 2014, offering practical, hands-on training on various topics.

SMEs need to learn a lot about using technology productively to grow their businesses, for example, by telling stories that sell them to consumers on social media through effective content and images.

We have some interesting line up of guests coming for the show such as Gbenga Sesan, Eldee the Don, etc. If the audience has any topic or guest they want featured on the show, visit [email protected] and let us know. The aim is to make technology productive, friendly and interesting to people as much as possible.

Our September Giveaway will be ending at midnight of September 30, 2014. One winner will go away with an Android dual SIM phone, although the name of the phone cannot be mentioned on Radio.

Another winner will win a free ticket to attend our Digital Marketing Culture Workshop coming up on October 4, 2014 free of charge. www.ictwithcfa.com/win. The Giveaway will be done automatically to pick the winners electronically by the click of a button at midnight.
