Eligibility for Participation
This Qualcomm programme is designed for early-stage technology startups based in Africa that are building hardware-integrated solutions or software platforms built on advanced connectivity or computing technologies.
Startups without a minimum viable product yet are still encouraged to review eligibility details to assess fit.

- Technical and Business Training: The curriculum includes expert-led masterclasses on topics such as AI and AI-Hub tools, Internet of Things, extended reality, 5G connectivity, advanced computing (AI-PC), product management, and intellectual property fundamentals. There is also access to the Qualcomm Academy for additional learning resources.
- Stipends and Grants: Every startup that completes programme requirements is eligible for a USD 5,000 stipend, and one venture will be awarded an additional grant from the Qualcomm Wireless Reach Social Impact Fund.
- Intellectual Property Support: Startups can receive reimbursement of up to USD 5,000 to file a utility patent in their home country, the U.S. or through the Patent Cooperation Treaty.
