Who is a genius? Wikipedia says a genius is a person who displays exceptional intellectual ability, creative productivity, universality in genres or originality, typically to a degree that is associated with the achievement of new advances in a domain of knowledge.
The most critical factor here is that a genius gathers information because information is power. When you are properly and effectively informed, your lifestyle becomes distinct.
The curiosity of geniuses is like a trigger for their quest for knowledge. A genius is constantly in search of valuable information and understands that information is best acquired by an implementation.
Interestingly, the internet boom has given room for information overload, it is now easier and less stringent to access information. Before now, people will have to go to the library, buy lots of books, sometimes you while away time in search of books. The digital age has made all these hassles too simplistic.
Although some geniuses are naturally gifted and talented. If you are not, you can become one, inasmuch you posses the zeal, dedication, and curiosity.
Today, there are tons of website you could visit on daily basis to acquire skills and knowledge. These websites have varieties of resources anybody could easily download into the brains.
Here are my best 4 online platforms that could make you a genius.
Quora – Quora is a good site to get what you want, similar to YouTube and Facebook, it has the potential to be a giant help. However, if used wrongly and purely for entertainment it can become a waste of time, just like all the other social media websites.
That being said, as long as you find what you need and move on, Quora will be of great benefit to you. Just remember that knowledge on its own is useless. Only with action will that knowledge come to use and change your life
Coursera – Coursera offers courses for all kinds of fields from very prestigious places for a low amount of cash. You can even get your own degree on this site (although it will cost you a bit more).
The courses are often taught by teachers from all over the world, with massive credentials.
Udemy – A similar site to Coursera, but with far fewer credentials required by the course creators. Anyone can post their course here, which offers a much wider variety of courses for all kinds of topics that are not taught in schools.
This is the “street smart” version of Coursera. Some courses here are incredibly cheap for the value they give!
Stumbleupon – Stumbleupon is a site that lets you find other sites. You put in your interests, hit the ‘Stumble’ button and get transferred to a random site on the web that has to do with your interests.
Through ‘liking’ and ‘disliking’ you then get more of what you find interesting and less of what seems boring. While this can lead to some amazing sites, it can also be a waste of time if you use it for your own entertainment.
