TikTok, ICC Unveil Initative to Expand Digital Commerce Opportunities for Nigerian SMBs

If Nigeria wants to compete internationally, then we need to take seriously the importance of improving technology education because of its impact not Dr Iroh of CTIjust in the ICT industry but all facets of our society. Our guest on this week’s ICT radio show has devoted time and resources in improving technology education – of worthy note is CTI’s Software Engineering Scholarship where participants get paid while acquiring knowledge.

That said, there is indeed a serious gap that has profound consequences for Nigeria’s development but the good news is that with collective and individual efforts (building on the various resources available online), we can begin to address the problem of Technology Education.

What’s in it for listeners?

  • As an independent learner, you’d learn how to advance you learning.
  • Universities and their faculty can also learn how to leverage on Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs ) to do better than their mostly obsolete staff can do with teaching science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) courses.
  • Aspiring tech entrepreneurs will also learn how to hack the intellectual capital they need
  • Finally, neutral listeners can just enjoy the street level discussion of a developmental issue.

As you can see this is a bumper package, so you don’t wanna miss it.

Meet Anaele Diala Iroh, Ph.D.

Dr Iroh is a technology entrepreneur, artist and cultural theorist. He is the Director of CTI (Centre for Technology Innovation) and Founder and CEO of Circuit Atlantic which owns circuitatlantic.com and shippyme.com. He was a faculty at Bard College at Simon’s Rock in the USA before venturing into technology entrepreneurship. As an academic, he has been a guest speaker on his work at universities in Europe, North America and Africa, including Harvard University, University of Notre Dame, Trinity College, Dublin, Makerere University, Kampala, among others.

Dr Iroh’s work has been published in book chapters and academic journals. His current education project explores effective utilisation of MOOCs (massive open online courses) in developing world contexts and the intersection of liberal arts and technology in higher education.
