Before the advent of smartphones, we were even thrilled with what we were doing with feature phones, such as the making of calls and sending SMS. The current state is entirely different now, with a smartphone you get to take pictures, make videos, chat on social media. Smartphones have become an integral part of a human. I compared it with blood running in humans. You could virtually do everything with a smartphone.

There are lots of other fantastic things you could do with your smartphone, of which you didn’t know before now. It is not just about taking selfies and chatting

Here are some awesome and cool stuff you should be doing with your smartphone:

Monitor Your Heart.

Do you know with your smartphone camera you can monitor your heart rate, we often check our heart rates to know if we have a medical problem or to know our fitness levels.
With Instant Heart Rate you get to keep tabs of your heart rate. How does this app work? All you need to is to use your camera lens, all you need to do is place your fingertips over your camera lens for 10 seconds, the app uses the camera sensor and the flash. It keeps your result, and you get to share it with your doctor. Instant Heart Rate app has more than 5 million users.

Metal Detector

With the phone’s built-in magnetic sensor you can detect metals using a metal detector. It doesn’t work from a far distance it only alerts you when you a few feet the object, which is good. This is because you don’t get to step on the sharp object. The pain excruciating pain could make a man feel it.

Measurement

A smartphone is a measurement tool. You don’t need to carry a measuring tool around every time. If your camera has the Smart Measure Pro app installed on your phone, you are good. It allows you to check the dimension of a room. For instance, you could determine if your new or old furniture will fit through the door.
You can find this app and get it installed, for iPhone ( Dot Measure ) and Windows Phone (Measure Tools 8 ).

Translation

With your phone’s video camera, you get to translate foreign languages without the use of your internet connection. All you need to do is point your video camera at any printed material, and it instantly replaces the word on your screen with its English translation in a live picture, works on road signs also. Its free, all you need is the Google Translator App for Android and iPhone, while Windows Phone can get the similar one with Bing Translator app. It also covers major languages including French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.

In conclusion, knowledge is power. Having known this, I presume you will effectively utilize your smartphone
