AWIEF Announces Pitch n Grow 2026

Over the years, I can count the number of companies or rather small businesses that came out, with lots of promises, but in time, they became stagnant and go off the radar.

Let us face it, starting a business and taking it to that stage, where it will compete with established rivals, is a daunting task.

It takes time, zeal and strategic planning, to get it to that stage and if plans are not put in place to evaluate and create innovative ways of improving its services periodically, it will remain stagnant and less attractive.

According to John Rampton, an entrepreneur, and business owner, “it’s important to sit down and map out a marketing strategy that will, specifically, reach your target customers. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to marketing a new business”.

When it comes to strategizing for your business, you need to develop different marketing tactics; tactics that have been tested and trusted in time and still works.

Below, are 4 marketing tactics that, you can adopt in growing your business:

Understanding social media

The world is now a global village, with different technological innovations that can connect you faster to people, all over the world.

You can leverage this and reach out to millions of people, within the space of one minute, through social media.

It is very important that you have a clear understanding of how the social media world works.

Through social media, you can connect faster to potential customers and increase the popularity of your product.

Using social media to promote your business is one of the prerequisites in today’s world and it is mandatory that, you have a clear understanding of how it works.

Develop a method through which you can reach out to your audience and ensure that, you are offering them what they want.

Conduct a periodic survey in order to check and ascertain what they want.

With the information provided, you can personalize it and use it for your business growth.

Personalize customer care

Compile data that contains information about your customers, so as to monitor them occasionally, through calls and SMS messages.

Consider giving offers to your loyal customers, to show them that, you appreciate their business relationship with you.

Give these customers reasons, why they need to keep patronising you.

Listen to feedback from them and make changes, in response to what your existing customers say.

Networking

Marketing tactics - cfamedia

Connecting with the environment and allowing people to know that, your business is open in their locality, is very important.

Go to local events and conferences related to what you do and interact with people over there.

Once you start connecting and networking with other business organizations, they will, in turn, connect with you.
