Tech Meets Land: Inside Enugu State’s Push for Digitized Property Administration

I cherish phones that are not prone to scratches and one of such charming devices that has come my way is the Infinix Zero.

This is the latest smartphone from the French smartphone maker, as at the time this phone was reviewed.

This is the 4th smartphone I am reviewing in a period of 3 months, and I must say its one of the best at the moment.

The Infinix Zero 4 like its predecessor wins it for me by offering high end specs at a budget. Getting those good cameras, the nice build and form factor and the good performance.

From my personal observation, Infinix Zero 4 is upgraded version of Infinix Zero 3. If you take a good look at the processor, you would observe a major difference. The Zero 3 has 2.2 GHz processor while Zero 4 has 1.3 GHz processor other than that Zero 4 with greater features.

However, in this review segment, i am going to focus on three major areas that really caught my attention and which I think its worth sharing.

Perfect Display with Good Design

The Zero 4 has a 5.5-inch display. This is something we can say, its not too big to handle just like the Infinix Note 3 which is about 6 inch. Infinix Zero 4 is 5.5 inches supports Full HD IPS display while the supportive resolutions are 1920 x 1080 pixels. The pixel density is 480 dpi that means you will have very clear icons, although the display is the lack of automatic brightness adjustment

Infinix zero 4 review

It has Mali-T720 as its graphic processing unit that works for graphics mainly. It increases energy efficiency by 150% more than other graphics unit.

In terms of color accuracy of the screen is superb coupled with good enhancement of a well-balanced brightness. The flaw is here that you need to adjust brightness automatically in the night scene. However, it has smooth touch panel and it has scored 5 points in multi-touch test.

Infinix Zero 4 Review

The design of infinix Zero 4 seem to be very on point, with a non detachable battery of 3200 mAh while the dimensions are 152 x 75.3 x 8.1 mm and weight is 168 grams. The device has overall very decent design and from front side it has little bit resemblance of IPhone 6.

The curved edges of Infinix Zero 4 has different ports which makes it very attractive in my view. All the connectivity are easily accessed due to the fact that it doesn’t have removable back cover. At right side we have volume keys, SIM jacket, as well as the power button. On the left side is the memory card port that supports memory card up to 128GB. Topside has 3.5 mm audio jack and downside is resided with speakers, mic and microUSB port.

The full metal body is one feature that makes it not to be prone to scratches. It feels very professional and premium when holding the smartphone. Nice LED notification light. Nice back camera placement. Nice fingerprint placement. Perfectly polished. Curved edges.

Classic Camera

The camera has 16MP lens for back camera and 8MP for front camera. Infinix Zero 4 has 8MP lens for front camera with LED flash light while Infinix Zero 3 has 5MP front camera. It records about video in 720p while the formats for video are mp4 and 3gpa.

The main modes for front camera are beauty mode, normal, wide selfie and PIP mode. Images taken with front camera are actually higher than expected moreover it has good details plus colors are vivid and very minimal noise in selfies. The camera works perfect to take selfies with sharp details even without using the flash light. In low light it has also performed very well.

I had a good test of the camera when Infinix Mobility organised a photo work. It was fun mingling with some young buddies, we walked through GRA, Ikeja to Maryland capturing photos. We went to Maryland mall, crossed the link bridge, we also stopped at the Maryland roundabout. I will share with you some of the selfies.

That’s because the camera features two premium features: Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and Laser Auto Focus. With laser autofocus, the camera is equipped with a laser transmitter and receiver. Infinix zero 4 phone will emit an infrared laser, which bounces off the subject and returns to the receiver on the phone.

Infinix zero 4 review

It would be proper to see the PRO mode of the camera which i think would make it a lot easier for many more users to understand and use the device without cracking their head. . It is however a nice inclusion for Infinix to have a PRO mode for all the PRO users who understand WB, ISO, ME, EV, MF.

Infinix zero 4 review

Meanwhile, the main modes for back camera are beauty, professional, normal, panorama, night and PIP mode. Some other features are gesture shot, smile shot, voice capture and auto scene detection. If we are facing lack of memory space than we can reduce pictures quality up to 2MP to reduce its size of picture. Delay capture, level, guidelines and HDR settings are also available for users to play with it.

Processor

Infinix Zero 4 has 1.3 GHz octa-core processor while Infinix Zero 3 has 2.2 GHz processor that means it lacks in this feature. It has chipset of Media tek MT6753 and it is based on the architecture of ARM Cortex-A53.

Infinix Zero 4 has 64 bit type processor with 3GB RAM. It works efficiently in multi-tasking and performs well in any high graphical games. We have not observed any kind of lags and delays during multi-tasking.

Pros :

Optical Image Stabilization
Laser Focus
16MP back camera and 8MP front camera
Fingerprint Authentication
Efficient Battery Timings
Android Marshmallow with XOS interface
Supports Fast Charging
LED Notification Light
OTG Supportive

Infinix zero 4 Review

Cons :

The phone doesn’t support 5GHz Wi-Fi
The camera bump
No USB type-C
Less Processor than Infinix Zero 3
Heating Issue while using Camera

My Verdict:

Infinix Zero 4 is absolutely a smartphone designed for professionals, it really worth the price. In my view, its one of the cheapest smartphone when compared with other smartphones that fall within its range.
