The features of cell phones are rapidly changing on daily basis ranging from high-speed web surf to integrated camera devices and lots more, one could, therefore, not but keep wondering what next to expect from cell phones in future in terms of features and specifications enhancement.

We can, however, hazard some guess as to what to expect as stated below:

Googles Project Ara: Some of these futuristic expectations may emerge from Google’s Project Ara. It will be first of its kind, as you can dismantle the components of the phone and replace them with other ones, or even add in different modules, e.g., if you want to install a stronger camera than the one that came with your phone, or install a dedicated flash light and a lots more, all these will be possible with future cell phones. Googles project Ara might have endless possibilities with all the different kinds of add-ons to your cell phone.

Flexible cell phone: We did see the edged screen with the introduction of S6 edge, but we think that is just the beginning, as the manufacturers have shown the world that they are working on a flexible screen which you can bend completely without breaking or shattering the glass. This is also an expectation of future cell phones.

Battery life: The improvement of the battery life of cell phone will also be one of the major things to expect from future cell phones. Battery life these days, are usually just enough to survive a whole day. We look forward to seeing the production cell phones in future with longer-lasting batteries.

Screen resolution: Sony introduced 4k screen resolution with its Sony z5 premium. We think that this is just the beginning in that direction. We expect to see lots more in the improvement of screen resolution in the future as technology innovation grows.

Cell phones have come a long way from its first creation. The changes we envisage above may, therefore, just be a tip of the iceberg in relations to what the future holds for cell phones as we expect lots more improvement in the future.

You can also share some of your own expectations on things you would want to have on your cell phone in the future?
