AWIEF Announces Pitch n Grow 2026

When Fero Mobile made its debut into the Nigerian smartphone market last year, other brands already found their feet on the ground. But it looks as if they are probably finding their feet too.

As at November 2017, the smartphone maker already sold over 1.5 million devices, less than one year of operation in Nigeria. Gradually they are building on that momentum.

The narrative of Fero Mobile isn’t the same thing compared to what it used to be. In fact, the smartphone maker has been tagged as the the fastest growing smartphone brand in Nigeria.

Although Fero is yet to become a household name brand. Most Nigerians are usually trilled by a brand name before making decision to buy or not. This might be a work in progress for them but affordability is key if they must scale further.

No doubt. Fero has made significant progress in the Nigerian market. This is probably due to affordable price of its devices and how they are beautifully designed. Majority of Nigerians do not joke with price. They cherish it when a smartphone is well designed and sells at a paltry fee.

Honestly, Fero Moble consolidated its position with different smartphone and feature phone flagships. The latest was the introduction of Pace 2 smartphone. This was officially launched yesterday in Lagos and currently sells online, as well as in different outlets.

The Pace 2 smartphone is dubbed the ’Selfie Boss’. The phrase “Selfie Boss” seems explanatory here. Let me give you an insight – the new device is spiced up with a 13MegaPixel selfie camera. This camera feature might sound common. Because you can find a 13MegaPixel camera feature in other devices.

Let me now burst your bubble. The pace two has a 13MegaPixel rear camera. This is probably not common. With this feature, users could capture and share great moments on the go.

Aside from the Fingerprint technology which could be used to take up calls, take photo etc. The Pace 2 is also well designed. And this offers the customers quality experience as they engaged in their daily activities like chatting, gaming and streaming videos.

Phiroze Seth, Director, Fero Mobile Nigeria and Emerging Market puts this in perspective: “This device is an amazing companion for work and fun.

It lets us connect with our world in ways that can only be imagined or experienced via the Pace 2. All applications are easy and smooth to use here.”

Seth addded: “The Pace 2 combines a stylish design and a powerful hardware to deliver a unique experience to consumers.

We strive to deliver quality products that meet the needs of a wide range of users and this new device a proof that quality, style and performance can be rolled into one affordable device.”

The Pace 2 is a mid-range smartphone with excellent features that work seamlessly. It is powered by a 4.000 MAH battery and runs on the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with a quad-core processor that supports multi-tasking at super processing speed and ensures easy completion data-intensive processes.

The device sports a 5.5-inch HD display screen with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution that guarantees great colour performance and 75% less light reflection for excellent readability under sunlight.

The Pace 2 is packed with 2G of RAM and 16GB of internal memory with storage capacity expandable to 32GB. This device is stylish designed to make a fashion statement. It is available in black and gold colours and comes complete with fingerprint scanner.

The smartphone maker made it known at the launch that they have an initiative called the Fero Care. This means with a one year warranty, if your screen gets broken screen you get a replacement.

…Unboxing of the device comes up next week.
