Ever since Apple Incorporated made a move to invent smartwatches, the iPhone maker has been apparently aggressive in pushing its smartwatch into the global market.
Smartwatches in the last couple of years have been so desirable; this is why we have seen much increase in the demand for them.
Also, in the Android space, many tech firms have joined the league, launching smartwatches which can easily be synced with your Android Smartphone.
There are series of statistics which show that smartwatches are soaring high in the global market.
The latest analyst report, which tech journalists are now pawing over, reveal that 322.69 million wearable devices will be sold globally in 2017, an increase of 39 percent from 232.01 million units in 2015.
But Gartner reports forecast were a bit contradictory; it says “30.32 million smartwatches were sold in 2015; a figure it says will grow to 66.71 million by 2017.
In all of these, do you need a smartwatch, is there a need to purchase one?
Personally, I have been wearing a smartwatch for a couple of months, and I mainly use it as a filter to my smartphone.
One thing is glaring; I don’t need to take out my smartphone often which I find convenient.
However, there are also some disadvantages; battery life is one of them. But for me, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.
For instance, your smartphone synchronizes with your smartwatch. When you’re push-notified, the smartwatch also displays the received message.
In reality, a smartwatch is the same as a smartphone; they work in a complementary fashion. You stand the chance of wearing your smartwatch even in those places where the use of smartphones is not permitted.
Just like a smartphone, smartwatches have apps that can make you very productive. They save time and help to organize and manage businesses.
Some Apps you can Use on your smartwatch
Evernote: With this, you can record your ideas or search notes with the voice.
Imeet Agenday: This app joins all your private and professional calendars in one interface. You know exactly when you have meetings or events. You can even get navigation while driving.
Salesforce: You can use this app for managing tasks and get fast notifications response.
Todoist: You need it to create and manage projects just like Asana. You can quickly send the tasks to your colleagues.
Business Benefits:
Aside from viewing messages, notifications, making calls, etc. there are other functionalities associated with getting a smartwatch.
Emails: You can keep up to date with email notifications, at the same time, you could be lost in a never-ending stream, and you can miss a lucrative offer.
With a smartwatch on your wrist, you see notifications appear. This would won’t allow you forget important business call, or miss a potential opportunity. You just open the e-mail, read it, and reply using voice message.
Smartwatch Saves your Time: This gadget is a perfect reminder of meetings. It controls your to-do-lists, and point out time frames.
You can manage your work on a project and lay out its priorities. Another bonus is the ability to read important documents on the go.
Marketing: I said marketing because you can send notifications about advert campaigns, sales, and special offers to every passerby in real time mode. All you need is GPS integration.
Ideas on the go: Smartwatch has great voice features, as well as other apps you can install which allows you to keep all your thoughts in order, either by writing or recording.
Payment Systems: Some applications will help to optimize your work with credit cards and payments.
Conclusion
Having said all these, I think it is worth getting a smartwatch for yourself. I hope you find this thrilling.
