What You Need
AirDroid replaces the USB cable when connecting your Android device to your computer. With it, you can transfer files back and forth, manage applications, view photos, play music and even send text messages using a desktop client or web browser.
AirDroid is free on Android Market. It acts as a web server that allows your computer and Android device to communicate over the network.
Let’s Get Started
- Download and install AirDroid on your device
- Sign up for an account
- Sign into your account in the AirDroid app
- In the dialogue box that follows, enable the feature that lets you view all notifications in your device on your PC in real time
- In the Notification access screen that displays next, tap the check box “AirDroid Notification Mirror Service.”
- In the confirmation dialog box that opens tap “OK”
- Press back to return to the AirDroid app
- A web address is displayed in the AirDroid app
- On your PC’s web browser, go to the URL
- Sign into the AirDroid web interface
- Tap the QR code in the AirDroid app on your device. The device camera is activated. Scan a QR code displayed on the PC web browser. This will automatically connect the device to the PC.
You PC and Device are now connected, and you can now explore your device on your PC. There are so much that you can do with this app. Do give it a try.
