The Tech Trends Giveaway has gained popularity over time and has made the show one to beat, not just in Nigeria but across Africa. One thing I assure you of, is that the tech trends team isn’t resting on its oars, because we realize that there are still lots to do to make the show truly numero uno.
It is in this same spirit of not staying in our comfort zone that the techsmart.ng team is also kicking off a weekly comment contest on this blog that will see us reward our readers and visitors, particularly those who go the extra mile to leave a comment and invite others to vote for their comments.
The Purpose
- Our aim is to encourage readers to comment on our posts in order to assure us that they understand the benefits we are trying to project for the smart use of technology.
- Secondly, we want to build a techsmart community that will take part in our goal of helping people use technology smartly.
- Finally, this is simply our way of giving any interested and motivated individual out there the opportunity to participate in our growing success.
Here is how the Weekly Comment Contest works:
- Follow TechSmart on Twitter and Facebook (following @cfagbata might also be useful)
- Visit techsmart.ng daily and leave a remarkable comment on any post you find interesting. Comments like Good Job, Wonderful Post, Keep it up, etc., are welcome but will not be accepted for the contest.
- Once you have left an interesting comment, share and invite your friends to vote for your comment by giving it a Thumbs up as shown below
Two commenters with the most votes at the end of the week get N1,000 and N500 airtime respectively or any other gift as we deem fit. In fact, we will certainly break the bank every now and then depending on our mood 🙂
What’s More? The Monthly Comment Contest
Yes, it really does not stop there! Every month, two top commenters with the most approved comments will automatically be selected and will get:
- N2,000 airtime each for coming out tops at the end of the month.
- Plus have their photos on the sidebar of techsmart.ng all through the month (if they have uploaded their photos on gravatar.com) as long as they keep commenting. In the media world, we say that no publicity is bad publicity and being associated with this blog is in every way positive.
The Quarterly Finale
Each quarter we will be giving out a Smartphone to our most valuable commenter who stays on top for 3 months consecutively. Since, we are kicking this off in November 2015, we will be giving out the phone in December instead of January just to round off the year on a very bright note.
