NCC: Chris Uwaje To Present Lead Paper At Forum Organized By NCC At Owerri

The NCC is organising a two-day forum, on “Emerging Technologies, Research and ICT Innovation”, that will take place at Protea Hotel, Owerri, Imo State, from September 17 to September 18, 2019. The theme of the forum is, “Developing Nigeria Tech Eco system; Imperative For Improving Local Content”.

The EVC/CEO of the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, is expected to grace the occasion, where he will present a keynote address.

The long years of experience in the tech ecosystem and deep knowledge of the ICT sector of Dr. Chris Uwaje, the Director-General, Delta State Innovation Hub, who, also, doubles, as the Africa Chair, IEEE IoT, will be judiciously tapped at the form, as he will be presenting a lead paper, on the first day of the forum, on the theme, “Developing Nigeria Tech Ecosystem; Imperative For Improving Local Content”.

Uwaje, will, also, be speaking on “Innovation Hubs, as the Fulcrum of Local Content Development, Digital Inclusion and Wealth Creation, Employment Generation and National Economic Development”, as well as, “Legislative and Government Support for Enhancing the Tech Ecosystem in Nigeria”.

Dr. Tony Ojobo, a former Director of Public Affairs at the NCC, who is now president, African ICT Foundation will, also, be presenting a paper at the forum, titled, “ The Imperatives of e-governance, in the Emerging Digital Economy”.

Major ISP’s, such as MTN, Glo, Airtel and 9Mobile are, also, gearing up to make brief presentations on the efforts that their organisations are making, to encourage local content in the ICT sector.

Also, on the card of the forum, are series of Panel discussions, that will feature participants, such as, Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata Jnr, Co-Founder, GoDoHub, Chinenye Mba Uzoukwu of Infinity Hub, John Nnana, Rad 5 Hub, Nkem Begho, CEO, Future Software Resources, Eneka Okoye, Daniel Chinagozi, IG Hub, Uche Emembolu of Roar Nigeria Hub and a host of others.
