We live in a generation that is working hard to make paper books extinct. My preference would be a balance of both e-versions and hard copies.
I have often been asked at various forums and on this column which version of books should be purchased for reading (e-books or paper books). I have also had both experienced and young writers ask whether they should go for soft or hard copies.
I am not one who would choose one over the other. So my mission today is to answer the questions by trying to showcase some of the advantages of e-books and paper books and I leave my audience to make their choice based on what they think is best for them.
It is not entirely possible to have only e-books now because you need a device to enable you have access to your e-books, but many people around the world, especially in Nigeria, do not yet have access to these devices and even when they have access, they still have to pay for data to either read online or download.
