From all indications, passion and perseverance are some of the traits exhibited by Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook who is currently worth of $300 billion.

These two characters played a critical role in building his empire, and it is imperative young entrepreneurs start borrowing a leaf from such traits possessed by Mark in his early days as an entrepreneur.

Historically, Mark was a Harvard student who was fascinated to building a connecting social system that allows people to connect without a hitch. His passion kept him rolling the balls to make the world more open. Despite his passion, he needed to persevere and push through to realize his dream.

As entrepreneurs, your passion for something means that you don’t give up. As you sojourn on the entrepreneurial road, your slogan must be everything is possible. Such affirmations give you needed energy to work surmount difficulties. If other entrepreneurs see failure, you know opportunities and be ready to walk through it.

Even if you fail in the long run, it will only serve as an experience, in other words, a stepping stone that could keep you moving forward. If you are driven by the passion, you won’t give up, no matter how excruciating it might be. If you lack passion, develop your passion and persevere.

It wasn’t easy for Mark either because his website was shut down by the Harvard administration. He was expelled and was charged by the administration with breach of security, violating copyrights, and violating individual privacy.

What could have transpired in his mind at this point? Perhaps he may have thought of quitting to his project, but that wasn’t the case. Mark worked, and now Facebook can boast of 1.3 billion users.

That’s the definition of perseverance. Eventually, these charges were dropped. Mark could have easily given up at this point and probably worked on some other “none expulsion prone projects” or better still quit altogether, face his studies, graduate with good grades and become a banker or whatever the job market was offering.

But because of the belief he had in himself, he took a greater and even bolder step of dropping out of college just to follow his passion and the result?

Conclusion

Life is simple, getting rich could also be simple if only we are willing to pay the price, the wisdom has already been deposited into every individual, is just for us to explore it. Also, it is important to work harder and even when life pushes hard and attempts to cause trouble.

As an entrepreneur, you succeed when you have passion and perseverance.
