The Social Media is agog with a lot of Love Scams and many people are falling victims by the day. Normally, everyone likes to be loved, but care has to be taken so that you do not fall victim of a love scam online. Social Media love scam is a growing trend in which the scammers use a favorite social media site to look for victims who they believe are well to do or that they can swindle some cash out of. The victim usually receives a poorly written post, which I term “scam love letter”. Below is an example of such a “scam love letter’:
“Hello, How are you. Am Miss Mary by Name 23 years old but age from Cape verde Island is just a number i saw your profile today am very happy to be your friend am very sorry if i embarrassing you, am not always online in this face book .com write me back to my pvt address [ [email protected] ]
