Apply for iHatch Startup Incubator Programme

Idea Hatch (iHatch), is a free 5-month intense incubation program organized by the National Center for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (NCAIR) in collaboration with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

The programme was designed to assist Nigerian business owners to enhance their business ideas via a series of coaching, lectures, and boot camps to help them construct scalable company models.

Objectives of the programme
  • Entrepreneurs that use innovative commercial services and products to handle social issues should be supported
  • Develop a model incubation programme that can be replicated in other Nigerian states
  • Focus assistance on certain IT industries to improve the technical ecosystem
  • Make links between companies and potential investors/corporations
  • To raise employment numbers, increase the number of successful businesses

Who is eligible to apply?
  • Individuals/groups with a creative business strategy that includes a product or prototype that can help the Nigerian economy grow.
  • Individuals or groups interested in forming a legal startup and starting a business in Nigeria.
  • Applicants must be 18 years old or older.
  • Agritech, Fintech, Healthtech, and other industries are allowed to apply

Please be advised that the course will be held at the National Centre For Artificial Intelligence and Robotics in Abuja.

All information provided by applicants will be kept private and will not be shared with anybody outside the parties without their permission.

How to apply

Interested entrepreneurs can apply here. The deadline for application is Monday, January 31, 2021.

Timeline of program

The selection process will begin on Tuesday, February 1, 2022.

The selection process will end on Monday, February 28, 2022.

Training will begin on Tuesday, March 1, 2022.

Training will end on Friday, July 22, 2022.

The date for the demo is Friday, July 29, 2022.
