D-Prize Challenge awards startup grants of up to $20,000 to entrepreneurs launching new organizations.

The program believes the world needs more social impact organizations, and it seeds for-profit ventures, NGOs, and charities.

D-Prize believe social impact organizations are uniquely positioned to distribute an existing product or service known to improve lives where the need still exists.

D-Prize seed support is meant to be the launching point for organization that grows to large scale. If selected, you will receive seed support for the launch.

Thematic Areas

High-impact products and services in need of greater global distribution are eligible for participation:

  • Health
  • Water
  • Agriculture
  • Livelihoods
  • Energy
  • Public Services
  • Education
  • Custom

Eligibility for Participation

D-Prize is for new organizations as most of its awardees are first-time entrepreneurs. Most have not yet launched their organization, or raised other funding. The challenge encourage those from low-and-middle income countries to apply.

The challenge will consider applications from existing organizations only if your core focus is on distributing an existing and evidence-based poverty intervention.

It typically will not support organizations with more than 18 months of full-time operations or that have raised more than USD 30,000 in outside funding.

How to Apply

Visit the D-Prize website to begin your application. The deadline for submission is Sunday, December 14, 2025.
