Applications are open for Accelerate Africa Cohort 5, a 12-week acceleration programme for early-stage startups based in Africa.
The initiative is designed to help founders refine their business models, strengthen key operational skills and prepare for scalable growth.
It accepts a small cohort of up to 10 founders and combines personalised coaching with structured workshops across core business areas.
Benefits of Participation
Accelerate Africa focuses its support on five central areas that many early startups struggle with:
- Storytelling and positioning
- People and operations
- Go-to-market strategy support
- Product development
- Fundraising readiness
Founders accepted into the programme receive one-on-one advice from operators and advisors who have built, invested in and scaled successful companies in Africa.
These sessions are complemented by legal, financial and technical office hours that help address specific business challenges.
Equity and Funding
Participation in the core acceleration programme does not require giving up equity. After the 12-week cycle, founders can choose to pursue optional investment from the Accelerate Africa fund, or from its partner organisation Future Africa, which may provide follow-on checks ranging from $250,000 to $500,000 based on standard investment reviews.
How to Apply
The programme is open to pre-seed and seed-stage startups from any African country. Ideal applicants have a working product or clear proof of concept and are ready to improve internal operations, market strategy and investor communication.
Interested founders should submit their applications through the Accelerate Africa website before Saturday, July 25, 2026.
