In a move aimed at seeking for problem-solving entrepreneurs and transforming the lives of Nigerians positively, American multinational technology company, Microsoft, in partnership with Co-Creation Hub, has announced the flagship of its program tagged “#WINsiders4Good Fellowship”.

The #WINsiders4Good Fellowship is program designed to reach out to 20 Nigerian entrepreneurs with innovative ideas that will provide solutions to related social problems and improve the lives of fellow Nigerians.

Interested and passionate individuals, start-ups, entrepreneurs with any idea that would eradicate social problems are eligible to apply for the #WINsiders4Good Fellowship program; hence the entries will end on the 10th of October (winsiderfellows.com)

“We would like to build a fellowship of 20 Nigerian entrepreneurs to become our first ever inaugural class of #WINsiders4Good Fellows. If chosen, the 20 selected persons will receive hardware and software alongside six months of tailored technical and strategic mentorship from local and international leaders to help bring their ideas into life”, Microsoft Nigeria said in a press conference on Wednesday.

According to Sofola Bambo, Director, Software Engineering, Microsoft, the Multinational technology firm is looking for Nigerian entrepreneurs who can’t stop thinking of ideas that can solve local problems as well as improve the lives of people. Microsoft is a company that has been supportive regarding helping entrepreneurs to make their ideas realizable.

“Our partnership with CcHub is quite strategic, our relationship has been in existence for long, and we hope it continues to grow. Our focus is to help entrepreneurs actualize their goals and help the country generally”, Bambo said.

However, applicants should just concentrate on coming up with ideas that address social issues, which is problems that are affecting everybody, especially in Lagos. Any idea that is not centered on this area will be disqualified,

According to Femi Longe, Co-Founder, CcHub said the 20 selected entrepreneurs would have the opportunity to connect the global community of entrepreneurs like them, providing necessary resources that may impede their desired growth.

“Collaborating with Microsoft will allow the 20 selected entrepreneurs in Nigeria to expand their possibilities while exposing them to other entrepreneurs in the global space, which will eventually increase their competitive chances,” Longe said.
