However, there are a plethora of app building platforms that you can leverage to create and develop apps without necessarily spending lots of money.

The name GameSalad could be funny but yet confusing. It is a unique app-making tool that you can use to can build a game in an hour. Within an hour, you are done.

JQuery Mobile

The jQuery Mobile is a good fit for organizations that need an open source mobile web framework that will allow them to leverage existing jQuery skills. The platform provides the ability to use coding skills such as HTML, JavaScript, and CSS to create a responsive mobile web pages with smartphones. This can be used with PhoneGap to build hybrid mobile applications.

Appery.io

Appery is a cloud-based mobile app builder that you can use to create apps for Android, iOS and Windows Phone, and includes Apache Cordova (Phone Gap) with access to its built-in components.

Kalipso

The Kalipso is a platform that offers mobile app development for Android and Microsoft OS. The platform has drag and drop editor, database synchronization technical support, etc. However, it focuses on the process, not the code.

Appcelerator’s mobile platform that offers pre-integrated cloud services and an extensive library of application in its module marketplace. This platform is a good fit for organizations that need to do multi-OS application development leveraging web-based skill sets.

Kony

Kony is a platform for projects that require the use of regular features of smartphones to build apps. Initially, Kony had focused on consumer-facing applications but has added B2E capabilities, through organic growth.
