Last week, I asked my little niece of 7 years, what she wanted from me, as her birthday gift. S

he looked at me, bent her head sideways and started using her index finger, to tap her cheek and then, all of a sudden, she brightened up and shouted, “a smart Phone”.

A what? I asked, thinking I heard something else.

“I want a smartphone, uncle”, she repeated.

I looked at her mum and she looked back at me, saying, “don’t, even, look at me, you asked her”. We laughed over it and I promised to get my niece something that will be of interest to her, other than a smartphone.

As I left for home, the thought came to me, too, even, search online, for the various kinds of smartphones, that are not too expensive, but of good quality, now available, in our clime.
