The educational space is one sector that has fully embraced technology.

Since the pandemic, teachers and students have taken a preference to online classes because of its flexibility, accessibility and comfort.

Teachers need help in putting resources together and managing classrooms online especially as they aren’t physically present with their students.

Below are five (5) edtech tools that teachers can use to effectively execute their tasks.

Classdojo

ClassDojo is a tool that teachers will love because it has so many features that can help them manage online classrooms.

Teachers can use ClassDojo’s timer and noise manager to keep discussions on track and control noise.

It can also be used to assign activities and give feedback on assignment and tasks.

ClassDojo also enables teachers to track students’ behavior, and discussions and activities can be recorded as well.

Finally, it allows teachers share information about a student’s progress to their parents thereby strengthening the connection between the classroom and home.

Edpuzzle

Edpuzzle enables teachers make videos of their lessons, and also embed questions, voiceover or audio notes in videos from several sources as well.

It is a great way for teachers in breaking down lessons into informative videos to ensure a more engaging learning experience.

Google Classroom

Google Classroom is a flexible platform that has made communicating with students easier for teachers.

It creates a central home for class activities and streamlines how teachers manage classes because it integrates with other tools from Google like Docs, Drive, Forms, Meet, and Calendar.

Teachers can also use Google Classroom to create, collate and grade assignments and other class activities while providing feedback.

Class Charts

The Class Charts reports feature helps teachers track behavior patterns and provide assistance when discussing behaviors with parents and students.

It also lets members of the school community be part of the process through the collaboration tool.

It can also be used to create new groups for in-class projects or activities.

Nearpod

Nearpod enables teachers make their lessons more engaging, using Nearpod’s interactive features.

It allows teachers incorporate several content, formative assessment activities, and online resources into teaching. It also enables teachers set quizzes, polls, and gather real-time feedback from students.

Teachers can also use Nearpod to gather formative assessment data to adjust their teaching or guide further instruction.
