Few weeks, ago, Facebook-owned social media chatting platform, WhatsApp upgraded the video calling mobile version, from 4 to 8.
However, the latest report, coming from WhatsApp, there seems to be a plan, to rival Zoom and expand its video call participants, to 50 persons on desktop.
This report was found on WABetaInfo and it is stated there that, people will be able to invite more people to join them on video call on WhatsApp.
For now, no release date has been mooted, but it has been stated that this latest video call feature, will also, be available on iOS and Android.
The desktop version will allow more people to join a group, which will come in very useful, for a conference meeting and mass dissemination of news, by private organisations, as well as the governments.
Facebook has, also, released what is known as Messenger Rooms.
This ensures that you can start video calls on private space and invite people, by sharing an invite link.
Individuals that do not use Facebook can, also, join the video call, via the link sent.
The Messenger rooms shortcuts will be added to the latest released WhatsApp.
