Sometimes the finest things in life come at a steeper price than we can afford. This then means that we have to settle for the next best things. These too are superb and will work as diligently as the best. In case you are a bit low on cash and looking to buy a smart phone that has style, then go for one that does not cause a huge dent in your wallet. You may, however, not get everything that the top notch devices offer. You, for instance, have to forgo some features such as full HD screens that are in superior phones.

With a reasonable budget, you still can get a decent phone that does not look like it was run over by a city bus. The phone you get will have reasonable processing power with single or dual-core processors. The camera power may not be to the standards of Sony Xperia Z1, but you will still enjoy quality snapping as well as a front-facing camera. You will still have unlimited access to app stores like Google play for your apps and games among other things.

HTC Desire 500

HTC-Desire-500The HTC Desire 500 packs style and elegance and has been ranked as one of the best looking cheap phones. This mid-range phone runs on Android 4.1.2 which may be little old for some people. This is, however, compensated for by the HTC’s slick Sense UI 5.0 with Blinkfeed. The processor is a snapdragon 200 quad-core with a 1GB RAM. This offers satisfactory processor speed. The camera of this phone does not disappoint either. It’s an 8-MP camera with LED flash and autofocus. The 4.3inch 480 by 800 screen is bright and vivid. HTC desire 500 comes with 4GB of onboard storage capacity.

Nokia Lumia 620

Nokia Lumia 620One of the most budget-friendly windows phones is the Nokia Lumia 620. With a superior design and ergonomics, this phone offers elegance and class at an inexpensive price. It has a 480 by 800 3.8 inch LED screen that offer impeccable quality display. The windows 8 operating system delivers superior performance. The phone has a 1 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 CPU which provides satisfactory overall performance. Simply put the phone is cute, stylish and has impressive performance. On top of it all, the phone is remarkably easy to use.

Motorola Moto G

Motorola Moto GAnother good affordable phone is the Motorola Moto G. The only downside of the phone is that it is neither slim nor light. At 143g and with a thickness of 11.6mm, the phone is clearly not the slimmest.

That, nonetheless, does not translate to the fact that it is an ugly phone. It has a superb 4.5-inch 720p IPS screen. One of its other downsides is that it does not have micro SD card slot. This is, however, compensated for by a large internal storage capability of either 8GB or 16GB. Running on 4.3 Jelly Bean and with a RAM of 1GB, this is an amazingly fast cheap phone.
