In order to access a bigger market, ensure seamless payment and fund receipt, improve inventory management and raise the bar in the current business realities, Small and Medium-scale Enterprises (SMEs) in Ibadan Nigeria recently adopted Paylink, an e-commerce platform that enables businesses to display their product and services while ensuring instant payment and seamless business management processes.
This event was recently held at the University of Ibadan (UI) SME Fair tagged “Co-Create the Future”.
The event was conceived to empowered founders and managers of small and medium-scale enterprises to interact with prospects and access relevant business insights to accelerate their entrepreneurial growth.
“The current economic realities have mandated SMEs to adopt technology-driven solutions to drive the end-to-end management of their daily operations in a seamless, pocket-friendly and efficient manner,” said Chuks Anitche, Business Lead, Payment Applications, and Vertical Markets, at SystemSpecs, frontline financial technology brand and developers of Paylink.
In his address, Anitche highlighted some of the hurdles SMEs encounter to include cash flow management, poor customer service, poor payment tracking systems, crude inventory management, failed reconciliations, time and resources management, cost of registering and maintaining an online store, and lack of tailor-made solutions to help them resolve some of their challenges.
Anitche also remarked that digital tools such as Paylink.ng, SMEs would be able to upscale and maintain steady cash flow, increase revenue, profitability, achieve improved visibility, sustain business growth, increase client base, reduce operational laxities, and contribute to economic growth.
Although launched earlier this year, Paylink is fast gaining traction across the African ecosystem through an affordable and reliable platform for revenue collection.
Users can now make payments by simply sharing a link with their payers via social media, email, WhatsApp, or other channels.
Paylink also prides itself on its free online store where merchants can display their goods and services for the world to see.
The University of Ibadan SME Fair presented participants with varied opportunities which included the discussion of specific business issues with SME coaches and mentors, interaction with business and product researchers as well as guidance on how to protect intellectual properties.
