Tech Trends on Channels Television this past Monday was an exciting edition aimed at making Nigeria’s digital space more secure and safe. The show taught viewers about cyber security, cyber safety and cyber ethics, besides presenting exciting news, tips and gadget review.

The News segment featured the launch of Apple Music streaming pool. The buzz and excitement around this new development from Apple were presented in details. In other news, an additional second, called a leap second, was added to World clocks on July 1, 2015 and this was sanctioned by ITU with the reasons for this given on the show. Crowds gathered to witness the event in Japan. From the world of technology in medicine, a pediatric hospital in New York has pioneered a robotic neurorehabilitation therapy for kids unable to use their limbs to assist them in getting by. Tips to Keep Hackers at Bay

On the Tech Tip segment, viewers were given on tips on how to stay safe online. Tips and resources on how individuals can protect themselves, their businesses, family and devices from cyber attacks were reeled out. Of interest is the two-step verification process suggested and how it helps keep your accounts safe from hackers.

On Gadget Review segment, the G Drive SSD was under scrutiny for review. All the important details of this external hard drive were expertly described and presented. The Mobile App of the day was Dashlane  password manager, an app that enhances your online safety by keeping all of your passwords safe and secure.

Enhancing Cybersecurity In Nigeria

On the Interview segment this week, Adedayo Adesanya, the Head of Technology at Global Virtual was in the studio to discuss how to protect you and your business from online attacks, data loss, and other cyber threats. As one of the renowned ethical hackers in the region, Adedayo gave the viewers an understanding of who an ethic hacker is and what he or she does.

Adedayo Adesanya explored the cyber risks in Nigeria and explained how hackers operate and attack. His talk covered cyber espionage, cyber wars and armies and even ventured into cyber black markets. During the discussion, viewers were put through on what to do to stay safe online. You can get all the details here.

On the Tech Clinic segment, CFA diagnosed the whitish icon that may be showing up on your laptop screen and explained why you may be having problems upgrading to the latest version of Android.
